Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Alamo, TN Location.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform various engineering tasks involving such functions as analysis, design, development, test, installation and service, while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other pertinent information.

Prepare specifications and related documents in accordance with requirements, established formats and general instructions. Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, documents and reports.
Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate.
Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
General concentration of activities by allocating close to 40% of time on Customer-focus and Commercial Orders, about 30% on Product Care, and 30% on Operational Troubleshooting and Field Support.
Assist senior Engineers to prepare the preparation of specifications, material and design selection, proposals for contracts, licensing and safety documents, and obtain required approvals.
As required, develop 2-D and 3-D models of components and assemblies for prototype, production and retrofit builds, using state of the art CAD.
Ability to learn basic numerical tolerance calculations and stack-up analysis.
Your Background:
Bachelor's Degree in electrical, electromechanical or mechanical engineering or related field and 2 to 5 or more years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.

Working experience with Pro-E or any 3D CAD modeling software, is highly desired but not required.

Working experience with Windchill data management or any PLM software, is highly desired but not required.
Preferably has some experience with developing electro-mechanical products (preferably with medium to high voltage power transformer bushings), is highly desired but not required.
