Network Engineer Manager

In this role, you will:

  1. Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the following: CANES, ADNS, CENTRIX-MME, SCI-N, SubLAN, ISNS.
  2. Provide OJT instruction on TACNET operations, maintenance, and repair.
  3. Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to program management.
  4. Support new system installations, integrations, and upgrades.
  5. Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair products/equipment.
  6. Establish testing protocols and standards, providing training and guidance to engineers and technicians.
  7. Test interoperability of systems, measure transmission/outputs, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and maintain detailed evaluation and repair reports.
  8. Provide innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact function's success.
  9. Lead tasks, including planning, execution, staff oversight, and status reporting for significant initiatives.
  10. Lead and direct the work of others.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. An active DoD Secret clearance.
  2. United States Citizenship.
  3. The ability to obtain and maintain a CAC (Common Access Card).
  4. A high school diploma or GED with 4+ years of related experience.
  5. Three (3) years of professional training experience in the training development environment.
  6. Experience in three (3) of the following four (4) areas:
    1. Network Administration.
    2. System Administration.
    3. Technical Documentation.
    4. Training.
  7. Demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.
  8. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
  2. Navy’s Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).
  3. Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES or other TACNET systems.
  4. Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair TACNET systems as an individual and in team situations.
  5. Ability to assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment.
  6. Experience in training TACNET or other Navy C4I systems.
  7. Defining training requirements.
  8. Experience with the use of Navy Authoring tools (CPM/LOM, AIM, etc.) to develop Navy training curriculum.
  9. Experience with the application of Instructional System Design (ISD) process.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $95,600.00 - $121,600.00 per year
