Harco Fittings LLC, founded in 1966 in Lynchburg, Virginia is a producer of pressure and non-pressure molded and fabricated gasketed joint PVC, fusible HDPE up to 63”, and ductile iron fittings into the Waterworks, Irrigation, Drainage, and Industrial industries. Our Harco locations span across seven states in the US and we are looking for new individuals to join a dynamic and growing team today!

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Territory Manager in our Waterworks division in the Mid Atlantic (VA, NC, SC). This territory is well established with a network of national distributors and significant demand for Harco products. This position reports to the Waterworks National Sales Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Generate new business using existing and potential new customer networks.
  2. Build and maintain strong, long term and trusting customer relationships.
  3. Obtain and maintain favourable product specifications with local municipalities.
  4. Plan and allocate time and resources to ensure sales goals are met.
  5. Track qualified leads and project opportunities.
  6. Interact cross functionally with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
  7. Provide technical presentations and on-site training to Utility Contractors, Waterworks Distributors, and Water and Sewer Municipalities.
  8. Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Four-year college degree, BA or BS (or equivalent experience) is required.
  2. 1-3 years of sales experience preferred in the Municipal or Waterworks Industry.
  3. Must live in the assigned territory and willing to travel overnight at least 2-3 nights a week.
  4. Superior organizational and time management skills.
  5. Strategic seller:

    3. Proven track record of sales and business development.
    4. Knows how to differentiate and position the company & our products.
    5. Achievement of increased revenue and profitability.

  9. Manages channel conflict with poise, integrity, and tact.
  10. Able to effect change for positive outcome.
  11. Technical aptitude:
    1. Understands product applications.
    2. Able to present and smoothly communicate technical concepts.
    3. Ability to drive product specifications and gain approvals.

  2. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  3. Familiarity with CRM Software.
