About the Role
The Senior Accountant position has varied responsibilities but primarily supports the inventory accounting close processes and manages all contract manufacturing arrangements (“CMO”), including reporting requirements. This will be a key partner to the accounting team interacting with the Supply Chain team where work product has visibility at the Senior Leadership level.
Responsibilities
- Engage daily with supply chain to ensure CMO activity is being updated in the ERP
- Prepare journal entries throughout the month to capture CMO inventory movement
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for all CMO locations, and other accounts as necessary
- Support the inventory team in the accounting close process by pulling reports from ERP and subledger systems, updating and maintaining key files, and other tasks as needed
- Prepare quarterly inventory cutoff analysis
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Proactively identify business, accounting, and finance risks and provide recommendations to mitigate risk
- Prepare and maintain ad hoc analyses as requested
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Plant Accounting and finance team to drive process improvements across the accounting/finance platform

Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting and CPA is preferred or working toward CPA license
- Progressive experience in accounting and finance roles in a CPA firm
- 2+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Big Four CPA firm experience strongly preferred
- Strong track record of achievement in complex, fast-paced business environments
- Ability to work well under pressure and to work within short deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with others
- Work independently while effectively communicating and coordinating work efforts with others
- Prior healthcare/pharmaceutical experience preferred
- Hybrid Opportunity – 3 days a week in Princeton Junction, NJ office
