What You'll Do
Essential Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values.

- Serves as the day-to-day contact for all client requests for an owner/developer/builder book of business, consisting of a mix of annual and project policies. With direction from the Account Executive, prepares (or delegates where applicable) all relevant renewal materials (Premium & loss summary, exposures, coverage comparison, premium & rate, etc.).
- Owns the marketing process for new project policies, such as complex wrap-up and builders risk insurance programs, along with new and renewal ancillary lines of coverage.
- Active participation in the creation and refinement of coverages and procedures specific to project placements.
- Using the client workbook, and under the direction of the Account Executive, creates the marketing submission and manages ongoing negotiations with carriers.
- Owns meeting facilitation, client interactions, negotiations, technical analysis, program design with minimal oversight from AE.
- Supports in winning new business & supports AE with new client onboarding.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate client problems and provide solutions proactively.
- Receives quotes, reviews for accuracy / desired coverages, terms and pricing from submission, generates and populates the proposal and sends to Account Executive for completion/review.
- Perform premium allocations, surplus lines template preparation, Certificate of Insurance request template preparation & master approval, on-demand certificates, basic contract reviews, policy endorsements, resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues, and audits on expired and/or non-renewed policies.
You Should Have:
- Ability to work within AMS and maintain data completeness standards.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to build underwriter and client relationships.
- Ability to delegate to appropriate parties when necessary.
- At least five years in a similar role; experience with construction insurance preferred.
- Experience with MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Holds or is pursuing general insurance designation (preferred).
- Some travel required (up to 20% depending on book of business & industry).
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

In addition to our robust benefits package, the hiring range for this position is $74,000-$102,000. While this is the targeted range, final offer amounts will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's geographic location, prior relevant experience, and their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
