Apollo Intelligence, under its InCrowd brand, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Business Development to lead our efforts in expanding our market research services within the life sciences industry. This pivotal role will focus on delivering bookings target and growing/building client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, with a deep understanding of the life sciences sector.
Objectives of the Role:
- Deliver Bookings Target: Directly contribute to the company's revenue goals by meeting or exceeding assigned bookings targets through strategic business development efforts.
- Generate Leads and Build Relationships: Nurture warm prospects and uncover new potential sales outlets to grow the customer base.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an active pipeline of interested prospects and coordinate with sales executives to advance these opportunities.
- Strategic Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to enhance the company’s lead generation playbook, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our business development efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Outreach and Engagement: Utilize cold calling, email, and LinkedIn strategies to generate new sales opportunities, focusing on creating a strong first impression and opening the door for further discussions.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to effectively qualify leads as viable sales opportunities.
- Market Exploration: Actively seek out new business opportunities in the market, staying ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Arrange meetings or calls between potential customers and sales executives, facilitating a smooth transition from prospect to active lead.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide comprehensive updates to the sales manager, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly results, to inform strategy adjustments and report on progress towards business development goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development, preferably within the life sciences or market research industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage and nurture a sales pipeline, from initial contact through to sales execution.
- Familiarity with CRM software and LinkedIn Sales Navigator for lead generation and sales management.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision making and problem solving.
- Travel as required.
