Overview
Zajac, LLC. is looking for a motivated and experienced Automation Manager to lead its controls integration team. The Automation manager will have overall responsibility for management of controls integration. The Automation Manager will ensure successful delivery through development, implementation and improvement of day-to-day and long-term operations processes.
Project work at Zajac varies from small system modifications at small businesses through large capital expenditures at Fortune 500 companies. To be successful, the Automation Manager will need excellent leadership and communication skills and possess a strong sense of ownership – this includes end-to-end ownership of automation and electrical engineering, resourcing, and planning.
Specific duties include:
- Working directly with automation and electrical engineers to oversee and manage controls integration in projects and ensuring delivery meets customer requirements and expectations
- Working with project management to plan project execution and define project schedules and milestones.
- Ensuring projects are properly staffed with automation personnel to meet schedule, budget and customer demands.
- Ensuring automation/electrical engineers are meeting milestones, deadlines, objectives and goals in project work.
- Developing employees’ professional skills, including constantly communicating feedback on performance to your employees and ensuring performance reviews are conducted in accordance with company policy.
- Resolving conflicts, both internally and externally.
- Building a culture that attracts, develops, and retains talent.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of management experience in an automation related industry.
- Experience with design and implementation of automation in process systems.
- Ability to bring parties of differing views to a common consensus.
- Strong project management skills, including quality, cost, and schedule management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly adaptable and willing to assume initiatives/responsibilities outside of normal competencies
- Degree in engineering, science, or other technical discipline.

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
