OverviewRegional Cancer Care Associates (RCCA) is looking for an exceptional Insurance Specialist to join the team. This position is responsible for payer and patient account balances being paid timely and remaining current. Performs collection activities such as monitoring delinquent accounts, contacting patients for account payment, resolving billing problems, and answering routine and non-routine account inquiries. This individual must also possess strong multi-tasking abilities and bring positivity and passion to their work. While some experience is preferred, we are very open to new grads looking to explore oncology care.Employment Type: Per DiemLocation: Hackensack, NJResponsibilitiesMonitors delinquent accounts and performs collection dutiesReviews reports, researches and resolves issuesReviews payment postings for accuracy and to ensure account balances are currentWorks with co-workers to resolve insurance payment and billing errorsMonitors and updates delinquent accounts statusRecommends accounts for collection or write-offContacts patients to secure past due balances, verifies patient demographics and insurance providers, updates information in systems, and documents conversations.Answers patient payment, billing, and insurance questions and resolves complaints.Contacts patients to secure past due balances, verifies patient demographics and insurance providers, updates information in systems, and documents conversationsAnswers patient payment, billing, and insurance questions and resolves complaintsMay refer patients to Patient Benefits Representative to set up payment plansMaintains credit balances of patients and payors ensuring timely refunds within government guidelines/regulationsAdheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA laws and guidelines with regard to patient recordsPerforms other duties as requested or assignedQualificationsMinimum two (2) years combined medical billing and payment experience requiredDemonstrate knowledge of state, federal, and third party claims processing requiredDemonstrate knowledge of state & federal collections guidelinesMust successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying positionThe US Oncology Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
