Requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide coaching and oversight to a team of tax professionals primarily focused on sales and use tax compliance for our clients
• Prepare and/or review state sales/use tax returns in various jurisdictions across the U.S.
• Prepare and/or review local business personal property tax listings
• Respond to tax notices and interact with state/local tax assessors/auditors
• Prepare tax technical memorandums and correspondence
• Research complex tax issues using federal & state revenue codes, regulations and other relevant authorities/guidance
• Participate in modeling & negotiations with economic development agencies & local taxing authorities to identify incentive offerings for clients
• Lead in the analysis of state & local tax planning opportunities for our clients
• Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis
• Develop and lead state tax training for other internal and client tax professionals
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting or professional services firm is encouraged
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with peers and subordinates

• Strong computer skills with general office use software and an ability to adapt to new software applications required in a tax environment.
EDUCATION and LICENSES:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance. Master's degree in accounting or Certified Public Accounting designation preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Able to work moderate overtime throughout the year.
