Your Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities
- You will be accountable for leading the go-to-market efforts for utility-scale (10MW - GW+) electrolyzer projects in North America for Renewable Energy / Clean Fuel developers and Energy Utilities.
- You will identify, initiate, and maintain senior-level relationships with target customers, as well as relevant EPC's, engineers, consultants, and investors in the industry.
- You will monitor market activity and act as voice-of-the-customer and market toward Quest One's senior leadership to drive business and product strategy.
- You will be involved in all phases of projects which may range from exploratory / conceptual phase thorough technical and economic feasibility studies with their associated complex licensing applications, structuring, financing, and permitting phases.
- You will lead negotiations of various contracts including MOU's, equipment supply and service agreements, and NDA's.
- With the support of the internal organization and/or external consultants, you will recommend to the Sales Vice President and the extended senior leadership teams, the overall project sales strategy, schedule, deliverables, and proposal strategy, to successfully win projects.
- You will lead, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary project team and the corporate review team, the preparation of all necessary documents for internal approval and documentation: Advanced Notices, Investment Notes and related memos, strategic and country notes as required, risk matrixes and assumptions books as required, various applicable reports and presentations.
- You will be an active public promoter of Quest One as a green hydrogen solution provider. You will propose and participate in relevant conferences and industry events, including as speaker or panelist, organize workshops with various business prospects, and work with the marketing team to promote the company through multiple channels.
- You have a degree in engineering, construction, finance or economics, with proven technical/financial/commercial expertise in large industrial energy projects, including preferably in the areas of renewable power development or fuels/gasses.
- You maintain an established personal relationship network with relevant contacts at renewable energy and fuel developers / IPP's, Utilities, and Infrastructure Investors / private equity, as well as EPC's, engineers, and consultants.
- You have a firm grasp on the capital infrastructure project development process including prospecting, land acquisition, permitting, financing, and community engagement, as well as technical feasibility evaluations (FEL 1-3). You have the ability to judge the viability of development projects throughout this process.
- You are an innovative entrepreneur, a genuine networker and curious by nature.
- You have a flexible attitude, are creative, and able to challenge boundaries, being able to take internal and external parties involved out of the box.
- You are a real problem-solver, result-driven, positive-minded, combined with enormous enthusiasm and perseverance
- You have good leadership skills and a likable personality that allow you to work through a project from A to Z with other departments and external stakeholders
- You have several years of operational experience in Business Development (face to face with customers, partners, EPC's, and investors).
- You have a minimum of 5 years working experience in the hydrogen and energy sectors, and no less than 10 years of overall work experience.
- You have experience working in an international environment that involves collaboration with internal and external parties across different countries and timezones.
- You speak and write articulately and fluently in English.
