Join Takeda as Scientist in the e arly Chemistry Manufacturing Controls (CMC) team. You will be responsible for the transition of Cell Therapy programs from Discovery colleagues to the CMC Process Development team. This role is a lab-based position where you will be responsible for design, execution and analysis of critical data packages across our cell therapy programs.

You will have experience working with large-scale automation and is a strong communicator who is able to identify gaps and provide solutions to enable our pipeline to run efficiently.

This role requires someone who shows leadership and can take on additional responsibilities of planning, alignment and data analysis for multiple programs in parallel. Good organizational skills, strong attention to detail and working well with a team are required for this role. Scalable Manufacturing Model Development experience is a plus but not required.

How you will contribute:
  • Work as a team to design and execute studies across cell therapy platform

  • Analyze datasets and present data packages across teams

  • Work with both research-scale and large-scale automation

  • Work on multiple programs in parallel

  • Strong documentation skills - lead authorship of protocols and report

  • Good time management skills and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Mentor junior staff

  • Development of scalable manufacturing models

  • Execution of analytical assays

  • Maintain laboratory notebooks and follow good laboratory practices

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • PhD degree in relevant scientific discipline (or equivalent), or MS with 6+ years relevant experience, or BS with 8+ years relevant experience

  • 2+ minimum industry experience

  • Large scale automation or process development experience

  • Small scale model development experience is a plus

  • Experienced with cell culture and aseptic technique

  • Demonstrated teamwork ability to be highly collaborative, focused, and work with pace and energy

  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$108,500.00 - $170,500.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained , certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
