In this role, you will:

  • Manage purchase orders : Prepare and process orders for imported products with precision.
  • Maintain vital records : Keep purchasing data and import shipping schedules up-to-date.
  • Collaborate internationally : Work closely with our overseas office and vendors to ensure timely shipments.
  • Resolve issues proactively : Actively address and communicate any issues with Sales, Operations, and other departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares and processes purchasing orders for imported products.
  • Maintains accurate data and records.
  • Reviews, approves, and files purchasing records appropriately; oversees monitoring of foreign product availability implementing appropriate supply plans where and when necessary.
  • Facilitates the import vendor process to ensure shipping documentation and compliance requirements are met for all shipments.
  • Works with direct import customer orders; including coordinating between customers, sales, operations, and vendors for successful coordination of product acquisition and maintaining good vendor relations.
  • Manages shipping schedules including: developing standard operating procedures, scheduling, and shipping practices for logistics acquisition.
  • Coordinates and communicates expectations and issues between sales, operations, customers, and vendors where and when necessary.
  • Provides direct assistance to sales managers, assistants, reps, and buyers including collaborating with marketing on data validation for printed packaging labels.
  • Conducts performance reporting reports; and review, approve, and implement all product changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • The successful applicant should have strong leadership, organizational, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving solving and team skills.
  • Associate's degree; OR minimum of 2-4 years experience, OR a combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills essential; Proficient in SAP, Excel and Outlook a plus.
  • Must possess the ability to converse with people of different cultures, maintain a positive attitude, and deal effectively with all people from various backgrounds and world viewpoints.
  • Must be willing to develop skills through Sauder-offered management training, where and when necessary.
PAY SUMMARY
Expected offer range: $40,000 - $53,250/year. The actual salary will be based on factors such as relevant experience and skills. The max salary listed is not the top of the salary band.
