Payment Poster - Medical - Hybrid

Vaco Staffing is seeking a Payment Poster for a temp-to-hire opportunity! Healthcare setting. Hybrid work week! 
\A payment poster systematically records and reconciles incoming payments to keep accounts receivable current and address any discrepancies.
Job responsibilities include: 

• Accurately post payments, adjustments, denials, and rejections for insurance and patient checks, ensuring correct application to accounts and line items.
• Review insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and determine payment amounts based on insurance fee schedules.
• Handle overpayments and refunds for patients and insurance, and respond to payment posting inquiries via phone or written communication.
• Balance daily electronic remittance batches, prepare and distribute reports, and participate in relevant ongoing training and additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements include:

• Healthcare payment posting experience
• Refunds and/or medical billing experience
• Proficient in electronic health records/practice management systems, with a solid understanding of major insurance carriers - Preferred
