Job Summary:
The employee in this position will be responsible for executing general accounting functions. These essential functions may include, but not be limited to; reporting, full service accounting (A/P, A/R, month-end processing, financial statements), analyzing analytics and data, inventory management, and working with external accounting firms to assist in annual income tax and accounting review preparation. This individual will need to be able to work with many different types of personalities.
This position requires a Bachelor of Accounting degree and 1+ years of experience (or Associate of Accounting degree and 3+ years’ experience). CPA is not required.
Specific Experience Needed:
- Financial statements
- Accounts payable
- Account receivable
- Inventory
- Month end accruals and journal entries
- Intercompany transactions
- Working with other accounting team members (both internal and external)
- Review of accounting transactions for accuracy
- Bank audit and financial review participation
- 1099 and 1098 preparation
- QuickBooks Desktop (not QuickBooks Online)
- Microsoft Word and Excel (pivot tables a plus)
- Experience in logistics or manufacturing industries (a plus)
