Boutique Recruiting has partnered with a friendly and fast-growing accounting firm in Encinitas, CA, to find a tech-savvy Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will prepare a variety of complex compliance forms for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals, focusing on efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will have 3-4+ years of experience in a CPA firm, a CPA or EA license, and experience with complicated business tax returns. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in QuickBooks are also essential.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 / year DOE
Senior Tax Accountant Requirements:

  • 3-4+ years of experience working in a CPA firm
  • CPA or EA license
  • Experience with complicated business tax returns
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable in a paperless office environment
  • CPA license is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
  • Proficiency with tax software like Quickbooks and Lacerte is a plus
Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Prepare compliance forms for various entities, ensuring efficiency and quality
  • Create tax return workpapers and supporting schedules in line with professional standards
  • Analyze financial information such as balance sheets, fixed asset ledgers, and income statements
  • Identify and develop solutions for accounting, business, and tax issues
  • Conduct tax research and document conclusions
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior tax accountants
  • Communicate recommendations clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Handle special projects as needed
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and pursue additional certifications as appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with partners to develop account management skills
