The Program Director for the Franciscan Center for Professional Development (FCPD) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive professional development program. This position oversees the planning, delivery, and evaluation of FCPD courses and programs to meet the needs of adult learners in various fields. This role is critical in ensuring professionals stay up-to-date in their fields.
Job Standards and Performance Expectations
- Oversees the development and implementation of professional development/continuing education hosted by FCPD.
- Embrace and advance the Catholic, Franciscan mission of the University by ensuring that all FCPD activities are consistent with the mission and implemented so as to achieve its goals.
- Conducts research to identify skill gaps of target audience.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and course instructors ensuring the quality of courses adheres to FranU standards.
- Designs assessment tools to measure effectiveness of programs.
- Ensures quality program assessment and evaluation.
- Manages the budget for professional development programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of professional development programs through data analysis and stakeholder feedback.
- Serves on appropriate University committees/workgroups, as appropriate and assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in developing and managing education programs.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, Nursing, Allied Health or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
Training:
Special Skills: Strong Project Management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders; Knowledge of adult-learning principles, instructional design, and program evaluation; Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for continuing education programs.
