To thrive as a Full-Time Construction Estimator/Project Manager at JL Construction Corp, you will need a degree in construction engineering management, civil engineering, or a related field, alongside a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in excavation or horizontal construction. Strong motor skills and a self-driven attitude are essential for navigating the dynamic construction environment. You'll be adept at interpreting bid documents, plans, and all related project documentation, demonstrating your ability to perform takeoffs and adjust estimates effectively. Familiarity with state bidding practices in Massachusetts and Connecticut is crucial, as is proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and a quick adaptability to industry-specific software.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Degree in Construction Engineering Management/ Civil Engineering or a related Engineering Field
- 3+years of relevant experience in the field of excavation/horizontal construction
- Ability to interpret bid documents, plans and all other related project/construction documents
- Experience with performing takeoffs and ability to calculate, analyze and adjust estimates
- Knowledge of state bidding practices (MA/ CT)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn industry-specific software programs quickly
- Must possess exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to travel locally to various job sites/ meetings as needed
