Specialist IS Engineer - Security
What you will do

In this vital role you will drive overall program success by applying program and project management principles to teams, partnering with business and technology leaders to ensure comprehensive alignment, and finding optimized ways to deliver efficiency and quality for our partners.
The Specialist IS Engineer plays a meaningful role in Information Security for Amgen. The individual will support assigned capabilities within Information Security with the focus on Securing Perimeter, Cloud, Automation and Manufacturing Systems. The Specialist IS Engineer will work with various partners at Amgen in a manner aligned to Amgen's values to define and implement Information Security Services strategies, standards, tools and processes.
Responsibilities:
Site point of contact for the Manufacturing Cyber Resiliency ecosystem, managing and coordinating the execution of various Security Operations, Business Continuity, Networking, Infrastructure, Anomaly Detection, Patch Management and Operations DTI projects.
Accountable to compile and maintain site cyber security metrics for the business, ensuring all metrics adhere to Amgen policies.
Design and develop strategies within the primary manufacturing environments by working with key platform leads to support manufacturing technology, participate, lead and contribute to implementing IT projects to support manufacturing and enterprise systems.
Provide guidance to Security Operations and other Information Security team activities on security strategies, processes, response, and technologies.
Implement and operate technologies and processes related to network security, including issue identification and resolution, tool integration, documentation, gap assessment, gap resolution, and continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities for technology improvements, perform long-range planning, and manage lifecycle activities, including patching and documenting roadmaps.
Manage and support digital equipment and assets, including printers, barcode readers, and Zebra label printers.
Develop or contribute to business cases and presentations on information security technologies of interest to Amgen, continuously improving information security technologies, processes, and services.
Lead/support Incident response on security incidents, including contributing to mock security incident exercises.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree, OR
Master's degree and 2+ years of Information Security/Technology and/or Engineering experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of Information Security/Technology and/or Engineering experience OR
Associate's degree and 8+ years of Information Security/Technology and/or Engineering experience OR
High school diploma/GED and 10+ years of Information Security/Technology and/or Engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Fortinet UTM/Firewall solutions, including SSL & IPSec VPN, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web Proxies, and Web Application Firewall (FortiWeb).
Experienced in deploying and managing Fortinet supporting technologies such as FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, EMS, FortiConverter, and FortiAuthenticator.
Practical Knowledge of Information Security standards and policies not limited to ISO 27001/27002, NIST 800-53, MITRE ATT&CK
5+ years as a network security engineer supporting a multinational organization
Cloud security certifications like AWS SAA-C03, Azure AZ-305, GCP - PCA or similar
Experience with user documentation as it relates to the delivery of information security services in a (preferable FDA) regulated environment
Strong knowledge of network engineering verified by having obtained credentials as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher / equivalent
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in one or more Information Security capability like security monitoring, threat intelligence, network security, data security, endpoint security, technical security assessments, security architecture.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
