ANNUAL SALARY: $73,000 - $84,600

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review inventory levels versus sales daily
  • Establish production schedules based on demand forecast and inventory levels.
  • Manage the flow of bulk raw materials, including quantity to be received, versus capacity based on estimated production flow and projected consumption
  • Understand systems constraints/limitations to avoid potential scheduling conflicts/waste.
  • Monitor and report on Shop Order completions
  • Work closely with Plant Management, Materials planners, and Global Supply Chain Planning to develop and execute optimal production schedules and inventory control.
  • Monitor and ensure appropriate master data setup and continuous monitoring to align with production processes.
  • Ensure continuous feedback with manufacturing to ensure scheduling information is kept up to date, including but not limited to: demonstrated run rates, start times, ends times, resources, BOM's, scrap rates, CIP times and materials sequence.
  • Clearly understand all requirements and constraints at the plant level for a production plan (consideration of min/max batch sizes, resource assignment, materials sequencing on resources, changeover/startup allowances and materials availability.
  • Establish raw materials at the sub assembly level to meet production needs while avoiding potential expiry, product returns or waste.
  • Create and/or organize a production schedule on a daily basis and update as required based on production results.
  • Understand restrictions/capabilities of production lines
  • Ensure production that meets customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Manage interdependent demand flows for incoming raw materials to avoid conflict and/or waste
  • Work hand-in-hand with other employees to make sure that all issues that are related to scheduling are properly handled and resolved
  • Work closely with Purchasing Team so as to make sure that the company's supply needs are adequately met in a timely manner and changes to schedule are communicated
  • Make sure schedules are given to employees in a timely fashion and that any distortions in the company's schedule are accounted for always
  • Maintain different reporting systems to make sure that all forms of documentation are accurate and also timely.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years in master scheduling role.
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar position
  • Experience working with MRP systems mandatory
  • Experience in SAP desired

  • Must have excellent communication skills so as to be able to pass the necessary information to both customers and employees

  • Must exhibit a high level of flexibility and an ability to multi-task at all times
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision
  • Must possess good reasoning and problem-solving abilities
  • Must possess at least a basic knowledge of supply chain activities
  • Must have good time management ability so as to be able to meet up with orders and schedules
  • Must be able to make use of different data base programs especially Microsoft Excel
