The Machine Technician is an integral member to the success of the Burke Team. By working closely with the Engineering and Production departments, the Engineering Technician will utilize their strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge within EDM processes to fulfill various development and production process needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage all maintenance activities to include:
- Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly actions per machine manufacturer recommendations
- Develop and maintain the preventative maintenance schedule.
- Inventory and organize maintenance items.
- Support and resolve any equipment that may go down during the day.
- Manage external machine support tickets.
- Have a solid understanding of EDM processes to include high speed hole, sinker, and wire applications.
- Support day to day setups/production - Help operators with rate, setups and part quality.
- Assist in development of new product implementation.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving for equipment and process issues.
- Support and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develops solutions in a team setting.
- Specifies needs and communicates about projects and maintenance issues with the team.
- Other duties assigned.

Requirements
- Must be a "US Person", in accordance with US Government definitions.
- Must be able to work with ITAR related data without restriction
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- Strong communications skills-oral, listening and written
- Strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge within the EDM processes
- Previous manufacturing machinery experience (electrical, mechanical and controls)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated process orientation in approach to work
