SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Construction Estimator is generally responsible for the development of construction budgets and bids for both design-build and bid-build projects. As an estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating plans, gathering material quotes, performing site visits, and preparing detailed cost estimates for stream, wetland, and stormwater related projects.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Reviews project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements
  • Develops design build project budget estimates
  • Develops project bids for construction projects by performing accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project related expenses.
  • Prepares competitive bid proposals for prospective clients and participate in bid review processes.
  • Collaborates with ARRC Design-Consult team and other design professionals to develop cost effective project solutions
  • Works with Accounting to transfer awarded projects
  • Assists with the development of team
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in stream restoration is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
