Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. The Trust & Safety team at TikTok is dedicated to building a safe environment for users to discover and create on TikTok, Lemon8, and other ByteDance products. As a product manager in our Trust & Safety team, you will work with teams of engineers, data scientists, operations, product policies, and various relevant internal teams to build safety product features and strategies. You will be working on safety features, technical strategies to improve our trust and safety processes, as well as methods to detect and address the risky behaviors and actors in the community. You will also work on project management to deliver major Trust and Safety product changes. It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

Responsibilities

  1. Driving Age Assurance safety product strategy that ensures the compliance and integrity of the platform, the safety of our creators and viewers, and provides the best possible experience for users in different age groups.
  2. Deliver this strategy by setting ambitious yet achievable goals, success metrics and roadmap and collaborating closely with stakeholders.
  3. Drive execution of the roadmap in collaboration with partner teams: making trade-offs and ensuring frequent and clear communication.
  4. Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to execution.
  5. Deeply understand the minor safety / age assurance domain, stay informed about industry trends, user feedback, regulatory landscape and integrate this knowledge into product development.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or an equivalent;
  2. 5+ years of experience in product management for consumer-facing products;
  3. Proven track record of leading successful product initiatives in a fast-paced environment;
  4. Strong analytical ability to demonstrate data to drive product decisions;
  5. Strong communication skills with an ability to work effectively across broad teams and to influence stakeholders at all levels company wide.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience and expertise in trust and safety, fraud detection, identification, or related areas;
  2. Experience in project management with cross-function teams, across different time zones, cultures and languages.

Job Information:

For Pay Transparency

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $165120 - $414000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
