Rogers Group is currently seeking a Trucking Dispatcher in the Cookeville, TN area for our Dump Trucking Operations reporting directly to the Trucking Superintendent. The successful candidate will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • The position will be responsible for dispatching up to 100 dump trucks daily.
  • Promotes Rogers Group Inc. culture and ensures successful logistic support to all operations.
  • Daily pro-active communication with essential internal parties not limited to working alongside RGI stakeholders, including construction management, finance staff and others, as well as external parties to ensure that logistic needs are fulfilled.
  • Be familiar with dump truck operations and material deliveries.
  • Provide support on scheduled weekends with dump trucks.
  • Drive resolution to urgent company needs as well as responding to non-conformance/complaint resolution.
  • Provide weekly summary of major issues related to the operation.
  • Promote Rogers Group Inc culture in leading by example, training RGI employees, upholding RGI's safety principals and the Cardinal Rules including the usage of LYTX driver management software and driver coaching software.
  • Be available as needed to manage constant changes and meet all customers' delivery expectations at lowest cost possible.
  • Ensure construction crews have needs to meet production targets and customer expectations.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ year's logistics experience and transportation experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS office applications and the ability to learn and use multiple RGI software programs including fleet management tools and GPS.
  • Planning and Organizing - should possess excellent planning and organizational skills to accomplish specific goals and/or tasks including daily equipment delivery schedules.
  • Initiative - should be proactive in looking for ways to improve existing processes/tasks to create a more effective working environment within operations.
  • Leadership - should portray strong interpersonal and communication capabilities when dealing with internal and external partners. Employee is expected to manage operational issues to ensure that service levels are of acceptable standards and quality.
  • Willingness to be flexible with work schedule times.
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills.
  • Detail oriented and not afraid to ask questions to help us improve processes and learn.
  • Solid analytical decision making with the ability to think through complex issues.
  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license, Tanker Endorsement (Preferred) Hazmat (Preferred) and or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with safe driving history.
  • Experience with Fleet Watcher or similar program a plus.
