**Job Title:** CT Technologist

**Guaranteed Hours:**
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years
**License:** Must have ARRT certification in CT
**Certifications:** BLS certification through the American Heart Association
**Must-Have:** 2 years of recent inpatient hospital CT Tech experience
**Job Description:**
- Perform diagnostic CT exams using appropriate imaging equipment under general supervision and following established policies and procedures.
- Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam or procedure appropriateness.
- Conduct patient interviews to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy, and psychological indicators.
- Explain procedures to patients, including the side effects of administered pharmaceuticals, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up.
- Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images as per the script.
- Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to the radiologist.
- Recognize and respond to medical emergencies appropriately.
- Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
- Engage in process improvement activities within radiology practice, including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
- Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
- Be available for call/standby requirements as mandated by the department.
- Perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.
