Position Summary
Fitzco is seeking an HR Director whose primary responsibilities will center on agency culture, benefits coordination, performance review management, employee onboarding and offboarding and managing HR policies and procedures.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Administers and maintains employee insurance plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations, and act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers.
- Leads processing of new hires including I-9 process management, benefits administration, background checks and other onboarding requirements
- Drives Fitzco's efforts in people-first culture development across all aspects of the agency experience
- Leads with processing of resignations/terminations and offboarding procedures.
- Leads preparation and management of performance review processes.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Assures that benefits and hiring practices are in administered and followed in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Coaches Managers and Supervisors in proper employee relations resolutions, including documented coaching and disciplinary action.
- Performs internal customer service functions by answering employee and management requests and questions
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related
- At least 8 years of experience as an HR Manager or Associate Director
- Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations
- Effective HR administration and people management skills
- Exposure to payroll practices
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
