The Director, HR Business Partner will be a strategic partner to our go-to-market function (Customer Revenue organization) and leaders. You are responsible for translating business strategy and requirements into HR strategy, plans, and objectives for the function. As a member of the HR team, the Director, HRBP will support SVP-level leaders within our go-to-market organization and work closely with HRBPs in region and across our go-to-market engine to ensure regional nuances are well represented in strategies and plans, as well as well integrated across other critical functions and all routes to market ensuring we are keeping our customers at the center of everything we do.

Responsibilities
- In partnership with other HRBPs, you will be supporting the Customer and Revenue organization, a focused Go-to-Market team made up of 3,500+ employees globally that defines and drives Equinix’s performance engine and the customer experience.
- Strategic partner/trusted advisor to go-to-market leadership. Works closely with senior leadership to define and execute talent strategies that enable alignment and growth.
- Responsible for contributing to the strategy and priorities for the HR organization and ensuring alignment with the business strategy. Translates and executes global HR solutions and strategies.
- Leads large-scale organizational transformation and functional market activities, working in partnership with our People Solutions teams (Org. Effectiveness, Change Management, Total Rewards).
- Brings an objective perspective in managing business problems. Brings the right people and data together to shape insights regarding people, organizational dynamics, and the business and translates this insight into sustainable solutions. Recognizes and effectively balances the client group’s interests with the needs of the company.
- Partners with business leaders to maximize organizational effectiveness. Leverages expertise in organization design, team development, talent/workforce planning, and change management to maintain a culture that optimizes employee experience and the passion and potential of our employees.
- Develops in-depth knowledge of the business both strategically and operationally to build consultative partnerships with Executives and senior leaders within the go-to-market team.
- Through authenticity, establishes trust and credibility to problem solve and coach as a member of the leadership team. Serves as trusted advisor to the business on effective talent management, inclusion, and retention strategies.
- Advises on the design of HR products, ensuring fit for purpose and outcomes meet business strategy. Leads delivery of programs (HR and HR-adjacent) and is responsible for implementation plan for the function (annual review, talent reviews). Brings a global lens to support ongoing HR processes and process improvement.
- Leads high impact projects with on-time delivery, measurable outcomes and impact, and robust communication/change management. Acts as a change-agent as the business continues to reshape itself with a goal of providing a world-class customer and employee experience.
- Models effective partnerships with other HR colleagues and enabling functions throughout the company to help leaders run the business.
- Offers insight based on system thinking, inquiry, and analytics.
- Brings a holistic perspective, balancing global and regional points of view in discussions. Spots trends, proactively communicates and acts in accordance with team operating norms and contributes to a strong HR team across the company.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years Human Resources experience with at least 5 years as an HR Business Partner in an evolving global organization. Previous HRBP experience working with a go-to-market organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Previous experience as an HRBP supporting a large go-to-market organization undergoing transformation. Experience with software, digital go-to-market motions, and talent.
- A broad base of HR experience is a must, as well as a strong track record and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a bias towards action and solutions in line with business goals.
- Experience leading organizational design, change management, and organizational effectiveness preferred.
- Experience integrating diversity, inclusion, and belonging into all talent strategies and ways of working, providing insights and coaching to leadership.
- Excellent ability to source, synthesize, and interpret data and context, to tell a story and influence decision makers.
- Operating experience within a complex, changing environment.
- In-depth experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong systems thinking, highly collaborative, open-minded, persistent, and a passion for and understanding of the Equinix business.
- Ability to travel to the operating locations, approximately 20%.
