SUMMARY
The Store Manager provides leadership and assumes accountability for the people, partnerships, and performance of assigned location. Responsible for overall customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and achievement of location performance metrics for assigned locationAs the Store Manager will also be responsible for direct customer sales, meeting annual individual sales goals and metrics.
DUTIES
  • Execute on annual budgets and business plans for the location, leading the location to achieve the established goals and objectives
  • Develop, coach and lead all employees at assigned store leveraging management team for support
  • Foster an environment of teamwork and strong communication within the store as well as across the company
  • In addition to managing the location, will assume responsibility for direct customer sales, meeting annual individual sales goals and metricsAs a general rule 80 percent of your time expected to be in sales/sales management and 20 percent in store managementSize of store will determine individual sales goals
  • Assume responsibility for Deere Performance Metrics at assigned store
  • Optimize the profitable growth of the business in all operational areas for assigned location: Sales, Parts and Service.
  • Ensure the successful mainstreaming of new technology, which includes precision farming, data management, machine optimization, agronomic services and solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Lead the promotion of a "solutions culture", engaging employees from all departments to support, promote and sell innovative services and solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure adoption of company-wide policies and processes throughout all roles and functions
  • Ensure the company core values are well communicated and embedded into the culture at store
  • Instill and monitor John Deere & AKRS standards/expectations for all interactions and transactions
  • Monitor staffing requirements and ensure optimal staffing levels are maintained; work with management team to hire and develop new employees
  • Ensure security and controls are in place for all company assets and inventory
  • Coordinate and lead store events to create a professional environment and strong communications : Employee Meetings, Manager / Sales Meetings, Marketing Events & corresponding budgets
  • Maintain clean, organized, and customer friendly facilities.
  • Ensure retail image (Showrooms and Lots) are well maintained and merchandised.
  • Responsible for the management of the retail ready process to improve equipment turnover
  • Coordinate attendance at community events; maintain local visibility and positive public relations, manage local donation requests per budget
  • Maintain a safe work environment for employees. Monitor safety plans, implement safety measures, and ensure safety is addressed regularly at employee meetings
REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience in agricultural equipment sales or operations management
  • Experience with John Deere and competitive products
  • Ability to professionally lead and motivate others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Internet Functions
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
