About This Position
Trinity Investors seeks an Accountant with 2-3 years of previous accounting experience in our Southlake office. This position works independently, as well as collaboratively, as part of the accounting team, providing accounting oversight on approximately 40 special purpose entities.
Essential Functions
  • Responsible for maintaining investor related information in the company's CRM system
  • Provide accounting oversight on approximately 40 special purpose entities (SPE's)
  • Prepare and post journal entries; maintain accurate SPE books and records in the general ledger
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and communication of distributions
  • Responsible for compliance with partnership agreements
  • Prepare annual financial statements, working with tax department to meet reporting deadlines
  • Collaborate with the investments team to ensure smooth funds flow and closing process for new investments
  • Assist with preparation of 1099 forms
  • Assist with accounting related client inquiries
  • Communicate and present financial results and various analytical reports to management; perform additional special projects for management
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of two years professional accounting experience, preferably in accounting of private equity funds, investment company accounting, or real estate accounting
  • Sufficient knowledge and hands-on experience with governing documents, such as LPAs
  • Ability to work on-site in our Southlake office
  • CPA is a plus but not required
  • Ability to learn on-the-job quickly and perform tasks with little supervision
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes and procedures in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, including an advanced understanding of Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Superior problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to think independently, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to self-direct work and exercise independent judgment to formulate and implement solution
