Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Create or maintain records of financial transactions for upstream oil and gas clients using various accounting systems.
  • Involvement with daily bookkeeping: reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances; reconcile and balance accounts.
  • Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to the accounting system.
  • Provide support for audits by external entities, preparing supporting schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis as requested.
  • May be involved with recording AP, Joint Interest Billing, and Revenue transactions for oil and gas clients as needed.
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and revenue with the potential to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
  • Verify contracts, orders, and vouchers and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.

The Qualifications.

  • Associate degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • 4+ years of full-charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience is required.
  • Experience in account reconciliations and general ledger experience is required.
  • Experience with BOLO, EnergyLink, and OpenInvoice is preferred.
  • Experience in upstream oil and gas is preferred.
  • Ability to identify and resolve financial issues
  • Enjoy complex and challenging project work and willing to work on a variety of strategic, financial, and operational projects
  • Ability to successfully interact with clients and other professionals to effectively deliver quality professional services to clients
