Job Description
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an effective quality system and providing leadership to the employees in the quality department to ensure that all products manufactured by the facility meet customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs the activities of the Quality Control Specialist, Quality Inspectors, Q.C Lab personnel, and PDS Crewleader.
- Directs all resort activities for the Japanese Resort and oversees the Resort process on Line #1 including documentation and Plant communication to Scheduling and Sales group.
- Supports the analysis of complaints and takes full responsibility for communication with production departments.
- Supervises the Quality Department and Quality System of the Chicago Heights Plant.
- Acts as GMS and QMS site leader.
- Ensures compliance with the ISO-9000 & ISO-15378 standards.
- Works with internal staff to resolve quality issues.
- Assists Plant and Company Management in preparing quality-related reporting and presentation materials.
- Participates in plant management staff meetings and quality initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintains files of Quality Control records.
- Demonstrates effective decision-making to maintain and further enhance the company’s quality image.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree.
- Five to ten years of experience in quality; glass background helpful.
- Strong background in ISO-9000 and ISO-15378 requirements.
- cGMP experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- CQE, CQM, CQA, or other quality certification preferred.
