Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Accurately process and post payments received from clients via check and ACH.
- Aging Report Review: Regularly review aging reports to identify clients who need to be contacted regarding outstanding payments.
- Collections: Initiate and manage collections efforts by contacting clients to collect overdue payments, adhering to established credit limits and payment terms. Expect to make a high volume of calls daily.
- Invoice Management: Review and download invoices from our operating system to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Credit Assessment: Conduct research with credit agencies to evaluate the creditworthiness of clients, supporting informed decision-making.
- Communication: Respond to general accounting inquiries via email, maintaining clear and professional communication.
- Reporting: Summarize and report updated collections status on a bi-weekly basis, providing insights to management.
- Lite Accounts Payable responsibilites. (Invoice matching, check requests)
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the finance team.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related accounts receivable experience and some exposure to accounts payables, preferably in a business-to-business environment, with a track record of stability and growth.
- Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a proactive team player.
- Organization: Highly organized and efficient, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- Communication: Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and a keen attention to detail are essential.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
