Vision Statement
The Winslow Diversity and Outreach Team seeks to create opportunities within WTG for everyone without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. We are committed to developing a culture that is welcoming of diversity and inclusive to all individuals where everyone is treated with fairness and respect. Our goal is to establish ourselves as a resource for all and help to create a culture that is renowned for diversity, equality, and community engagement. Lastly, our vision includes transforming the workforce to encourage, inspire, and learn by obtaining and leveraging the talents of our diverse environment.
Charity of the Quarter Initiative
All of our featured charities are nominated by WTG employees and are included in our donation matching program. Winslow Technology Group is honored by the opportunity to give back to our community.
July, August, and September 2024
Our focus charity for this quarter is Boston Children’s Hospital. Created in 1997, Boston Children’s Hospital Trust is the philanthropic resource for Boston Children’s Hospital. Their team works with individuals, families, foundations, and corporations to advance the hospital’s patient care, research, medical training, and community health initiatives. They’re also the faces behind many annual fundraising events, like the Mix 104.1 Cares for Kids Radiothon, Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital, Milagros para Niños Gala, and many others.
April, May, and June 2024
Our focus charity for this quarter is The Olivia Joan Foundation. In early 2024, The Olivia Joan Foundation was created – a fully incorporated Non-Profit with the goals of funding GNAO1 research, providing scholarships to both neurotypical and neurodivergent students, and to raise awareness about GNAO1. GNAO1 is a rare neurologic disorder that causes developmental delay, early infantile seizures, and abnormal movements.
January, February, and March 2024
Our focus charity for Q1 was The Undies Project . The mission of The Undies Project Inc. is to provide new underwear to men, women, and children in need to improve their lives. They also aim to educate communities about this true, unmet need. Underwear is the most under-donated and most needed item of clothing. No one should be deprived of the simple, daily necessity of clean underwear that many of us take for granted. Hygiene and physical comfort are only a part of this basic human need. New, clean underwear also provides dignity and self-esteem. For many, underwear is a necessity, not a luxury.
