Job Overview: A law firm in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a Senior Employment Attorney with 6-10 years of experience. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with excellent academic credentials and possess strong communication, research, and writing skills. They should have a strong commitment to providing quality service to clients and a keen attention to detail.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and court pleadings.
  • Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including appearances in federal and state courts.
  • Advise clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediation and arbitrations.
  • Keep abreast of legal developments in the field of employment law and provide proactive advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • 6-10 years of experience practicing employment law, with a strong track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Excellent academic credentials, including a strong academic record and relevant coursework.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional research and legal writing abilities.
  • A high level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
