Job Overview: A law firm in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a Senior Employment Attorney with 6-10 years of experience. Duties:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination.
- Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and develop effective legal strategies.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and court pleadings.
- Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including appearances in federal and state courts.
- Advise clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediation and arbitrations.
- Keep abreast of legal developments in the field of employment law and provide proactive advice to clients.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission.
- 6-10 years of experience practicing employment law, with a strong track record of successful case outcomes.
- Excellent academic credentials, including a strong academic record and relevant coursework.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional research and legal writing abilities.
- A high level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
