Position Description:
- Town School for Boys seeks a part-time Level 1 support technician to support the Technology Team during peak morning hours of operation from 7:30-10 AM.
- The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt to technical challenges quickly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to staff, faculty, and students.
- Answer questions in person, via phone or email on all school-supported applications and hardware.
- Troubleshoot issues and advise on appropriate action.
- Document resolutions in ticketing system for future reference.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Mac OSX, iOS, and Chrome devices and printers, and other peripherals.
- Support administration and faculty with AV setup and troubleshooting.
- Maintain inventory of department repairs and equipment loans.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Working knowledge of the fundamental operation of relevant software and hardware to support the educational and administrative needs of the school.
- Ability to independently analyze and solve technology issues.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and willingness to explore emerging technologies.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Frequently lift up to 30 lb. of computer equipment.
- Crawl under or around furniture to adjust computer equipment.
- Climb ladders and reach to adjust computer wiring and perform other tasks.
