About the role:

Liquid I.V. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at a leading Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various financial processes, including managing fixed assets, marketing budget management (BMI) for non-e-commerce and e-commerce marketing, and reviewing shared services deliverables.

This role will also serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for marketing, supply chain, R&D, sales accounting, and EDI communications with vendors and customers. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, intercompany reconciliation, and process documentation. Additionally, this position will provide support for internal and external audits.

Functions and duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

  1. Fixed Assets Management: Oversee the accounting and reporting for fixed assets, including tracking acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. Ensure accurate recording and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  2. Marketing Budget Management (BMI): Reviewing the accuracy of the marketing expense against the budget and following up with the team on variances. Liaising with FP&A team on clarifications related to the forecast.
  3. Shared Services Deliverables Review: Review and analyze financial deliverables including journal entries, account reconciliations from shared services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate with shared services teams to address discrepancies and implement improvements.
  4. Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Responsibilities: Act as the primary liaison for Marketing Accounting, Supply Chain Accounting, EDI for Vendors and Customers, R&D Accounting, and Sales Accounting.
  5. Intercompany Receivable and Payable Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Collaborate with international finance teams to maintain accurate intercompany balances.
  6. Process Documentation and Improvement: Create and update process documentation for key accounting functions. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  7. Audit Support: Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  2. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (2+ from a large publicly traded company preferred or audit firm).
  3. Strong understanding of fixed assets management, marketing budget management, and intercompany reconciliations.
  4. Experience with EDI processes and familiarity with shared services models.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  7. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $73,000 - $110,000 annually. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget.
