The ideal Junior PD Manager and Engineer will be positive, cheerful, and have an optimistic outlook on his/her life and career. The candidate should be reliable and honest, as the position includes handling company resources. While the ability to take direction is important, being assertive and communicative is just as equally valued. The candidate should be a self-starter, be able to multi-task and be a fast learner. The position includes assisting the entire design and engineering studio, focusing on training for a successful Product Development and/or Engineering career.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate between departments to ensure open communication about the status of Product Development.
- Assist Product Development Managers and Engineers in maintaining spreadsheets and tracking software.
- Assist Product Development Managers and Engineers in daily factory follow-up communication.
- Liaise and correspond with outside designers, including scheduling meetings, communicating design feedback, providing product development progress updates, and providing launch updates.
- Support the Product Strategy Team as required to prepare information for deadlines.
- Work with Engineers on CAD updates and communicating product revisions to factories.
- Maintain a tidy and organized Swatch Library.
- Handle physical drawings in the Studio, assisting engineers and designers in meeting preparation and cleanup, ensuring drawings, swatches, and samples are handled to the highest quality standards.
- File drawings digitally and maintain a digital drawing archive.
- Maintain Studio supplies.
- Manage the maintenance of Studio printers.
- Coordinate the sending and receiving of packages.
- Arrange overseas travel and travel documentation, where applicable.
- Arrange working lunches/dinners, where applicable.
- General support for all Design and Engineering team members as required.

- Fluent in English (writing, reading and speaking).
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office required, Adobe Photoshop a plus, AutoCAD and SolidWorks a plus.
- Open-minded willingness and ability to learn new software as required.
- US citizen or permanent resident (no Visa sponsorship available).
- The ability to commute to our location in Wappingers Falls as this is an on-site position.
