We are currently searching for a talented Roadway Engineer in Training (E.I.) to support our growing Southeast Region . This position will be based in Atlanta, GA.
The successful candidate will assist a team of Engineers, Planners, Scientists, and other Professional and Support staff on a variety of projects including Roadway design and Engineering Studies.
What you'll be doing:

  • Collects and analyzes data for inclusion in Project Plans and reports
  • Assists and prepares project plans using the latest CADD software including but not limited to Microstation, OpenRoads, and AutoCADD
  • Contributes to the preparation and/or modification of engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projects
  • Prepares and assists in the preparation of project construction quantities and cost estimates
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of project specifications
  • Review project quantity estimates, details, and check calculations and drawings for compliance to project requirements
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of project schedules
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Recent college graduates encouraged to apply
  • EIT (E.I) Certification is desired but not required
  • 0 - 2 years of experience
  • Experience with MicroStation 3D modeling and other CADD production software is preferred

Preferred Experience:
  • Previous internship/coop experience in transportation and municipal design
  • Previous GDOT experience desired but not required
