Responsibilities
Related Affordable has a rare opportunity for a hard-working, dynamic Compliance Policy Coordinator within our Affordable Housing portfolio. The ideal candidate would be a detail oriented individual accustomed to working on a deadline driven schedule. You will assist in ensuring Related Affordable is operating in compliance with all affordable housing program guidelines (LIHTC, PBS8, PBV, RAD, etc.), regulatory agreements, and company policies and procedures. This position will work remote and report to the Senior Director of Compliance. This person must have the ability to function autonomously while also working in conjunction with coworkers located in other areas of the country.

- Monitoring and implementing changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and requirements
- Coordinating and collaborating with compliance and operations teams to update policy documents as needed
- Updating and distributing the Tenant Selection Policies across the portfolio as needed
- Tracking, updating, and submitting as needed the AFHMPs and LAPs
- Drafting compliance manuals for individual sites to explain regulatory requirements
- Working with the compliance and training teams to ensure appropriate notification to site staff of changes in policies and procedures
- Special projects and tasks as assigned
- $75K - $90K per year
- Plus annual performance bonus
Final compensation offers will be determined based on a comprehensive assessment of the candidate's background and the specific requirements of the role.
Qualifications
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years affordable housing experience preferred; paralegal experience desired
- Knowledge of HUD Section 8 and LIHTC programs and certification processing; knowledge and experience with affordable housing policy requirements
- Working knowledge of AHFMP and Fair Housing requirements
- Strong data management skills with significant attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office required
- Working knowledge of RealPage OneSite desired
- Proven ability to build trust with members of a community with different backgrounds, motivations, and concerns in order to obtain information and solve problems
