Position: Sr. Java Engineer
Location: Mclean, VA Hybrid 3 days/week onsite
Rate: $80+/hr d.o.e
Duration: 12 month contract
Sr. Java Engineer
Required Skills : Java, Python, Springboot framework & AWS
Desired Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, and 2+ years in data engineering
- Strong in software design patterns, 4+ years with Micro Services, REST API, asynchronous messaging, distributed system, and related patterns
- Strong in data structure, ETL, data warehouse, and related data engineering technologies
- 2+ years hands on experience in AWS technologies, including EC2, ECS, EMR, S3, RDS, and Lambda
- 4+ years in Java programming, effective with Spring, Spring Boot, Docker, etc.
- 3+ years in Python programming, effective with Spark, PySpark, etc.
- Experienced with full development life cycle, agile methodology, and CI/CD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a team player
- Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting real-time large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment
- Deep understanding of system and application performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and engineering for high availability
- Hands on experience with AWS Serverless Technologies, including Glue, Fargate, and DynamoDB
- AWS certified Solutions Architect Associate and above
