VP, Investment Origination

The Vice President, Investment Origination will join the New York-based Global Atlantic Investment Office, which manages the firm’s investment account. The hiring team, Structuring and Asset Solutions, focuses on cross-asset strategic deal structuring and execution.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with portfolio managers to develop structures to optimize for capital, accounting and tax on assets Global Atlantic acquires
• Understand and reverse engineer public market transactions to understand capitalization for potential investments
• Lead relationships with rating agencies to structure, rate, and capitalize origination assets
• Deep understanding of rating agency criteria across asset classes to develop new models for potential investments
• Develop and manage models for internal and rating agency analysis
• Manage documentation and operational processes for GA on-balance sheet transactions

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in structured products with strong quantitative and modeling skills
• 3 years of experience in project finance and/or infrastructure transactions
• Familiarity across structured finance asset classes, including project finance, CLOs, consumer ABS, commercial ABS and real estate
• Experience with structured finance legal documentation
• Flexible individual who is both creative and commercial, and is comfortable working on multiple transactions at once across a variety of assets
• Energetic, inquisitive and a high initiative to take on projects
• Organized with high attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree required
