COMPENSATION

Forest Lawn is in search of a compassionate individual with general knowledge of office procedures for the Service Arrangements Representative 1 opening. The duties for this role include coordinating paperwork, answering telephones, filing, typing, assisting with funerals, and grief support. They must also have good communication and customer service skills.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Represent Forest Lawn in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Understand and respect the nature of our business.
- Serve families or visitors promptly and professionally with compassion.
- Answer client families' questions relating to funeral arrangements.
- Keep supervisor informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns.
- Work in a busy environment that requires multi-tasking and meeting strict deadlines.
- Meet with families and visitors to effectively answer questions or resolve problems.
- Assist with processing and filing Death Certificates, Internment/Cremation Permits, obituaries and memorial tributes.
- Collect information and creating client family files.
- Coordinate paperwork, answering telephones, filing, and data entry.
- Collaborate with other functional departments to ensure guest needs are met and resolved.
- Cover Reception Desk and Information Booth when needed.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid CA Driver License.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Minimum one year of general office experience.
- Basic knowledge of Word and Excel; Type 45/wpm
- Minimum of 2 years in an administrative role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual Spanish or Armenian.

DRUG TESTING POLICY
