JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for collecting, developing, and preparing package launch information with toolmakers; responsible for providing engineering support for a successful launch, as well as for follow-up, receiving, and running initial trials for structural corporate components and tools; develop, implement, and promote common proprietary process and tooling standards; generate and update RFQs of Tools according to engineering requirements, timelines, budget, volume, and product configuration; verify and deliver a launching package for the manufacture of corporate tooling in the initial kick-off meeting; monitor tooling manufacturing, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and delivery time under the assigned budget; track delivery of tools and payment process to suppliers; ensure consensus of engineering definitions and specifications of tooling with customers, suppliers, and work group, ensuring the implementation of best practices and lessons learned to avoid the use of harmful materials in the manufacture of complex tooling; utilize CATIA, AutoCAD, Solid Works, MS Project, SAP, new products development, process improvement, Bill of Materials, 3D modeling, and foundry tooling to perform duties; provide engineering support for the complex design and development of structural casting process and secondary operations equipment; conduct gating PQ squared and cooling analysis optimizations through virtual simulations, ensuring optimal quality and performance; collaborate with manufacturing to follow-up on engineering and feasibility issues and conduct design improvements; perform dimensional analysis and die correction reports to validate casting tooling; and ensure program timing and cost targets are met.
