Position Title: KITCHEN STAFF

Location: Saint Peter, MN

Employement Type: Non-Exempt

Base Pay: $16.17 - $21.87 / Hour

Description:

Essential Functions

  • Deliver meals to rooms at designated times in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Clean and set up dining tables and food trays.
  • Uphold our high standards for food safety and sanitation.
  • Listen and make note of residents' food and drink requests and needs.
  • Assist in the kitchen as needed, including cooking, stocking ingredients, dishwashing and maintaining equipment.
  • Inspect food, food preparation and storage areas.
  • Communicate with medical staff to ensure nutritional goals are being met for each patient.
  • Remove and dispose of food items that are past their expiration dates
  • Other duties as prescribed by Manager/Lead



Requirements:

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with patient needs.
    • Must be able to walk/stand 80% of the shift
    • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Certification in food services preferred
    • Must be able to push, pull and/or carry up to 90 pounds
    • Skilled in operating cooking appliances and preparing meals according to instruction



Summary:

This is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per pay period) position, working primarily 10:00am to 6:30pm shifts, including every other weekend and holidays. Will need flexibility to fill in where needed.







Compensation details: 16.17-21.87 Hourly Wage
