Negotiate sales and purchases to balance daily production swings, optimize the movement of the gas supply to take advantage of pricing arbitrage, negotiate forward physical gas transactions and work with the scheduling team to manage pipeline OBA and daily tolerances to avoid pipeline penalties.
Target Responsibilities:
• Transact on a daily/monthly/term basis according to CNX's trading strategy.
• Possess expertise and communicate the fundamentals and dynamics for applicable gas markets.
• Optimize our FT Capacity positions through segmentation, demand recapturing, and capacity release.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key wholesale customers, pipeline reps, market niche players, local distribution companies, and power plants.
• Identify new markets and opportunities to add NAV.
• Analyze results and provide recommendations for trading strategies.
• Assist with the month-end accrual process and is the business liaison with IS&T on customers reports.
• Coordinate with other company department including New Tech, Gas Operations, Treasury, Midstream, Legal and Accounting.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in gas trading.
• Strong knowledge of the Appalachian Basin natural gas pipeline grid preferred.
• Strong analytical and marketing skills.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to communicate regularly and effectively, along with desire to expand upon an existing business and develop the role within the organization.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to interface effectively with other internal departments, external organizations, and customers.
