Senior Indirect Tax Accountant
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This individual should thrive in a collaborative team environment and be dedicated to ensuring compliance with sales and use tax, as well as other industry-specific tax reporting obligations. The role involves a focus on process improvement, leveraging technology, and minimizing risk for the organization.
The Senior Indirect Tax Accountant will report to the Indirect Tax Supervisor and work remotely within the USA. The compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $82,500 annually.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in handling Sales/Use Tax, Property Tax, Business Tax, and other industry-specific tax reporting requirements.
  • Review monthly sales/use tax calculations and prepare sales/use tax data for a third-party firm.
  • Ensure compliance with state/local sales and use tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct tax research, clearly communicate findings, and document interpretations and recommendations.
  • Provide support for sales/use tax audit requests (US and CN).
  • Support Real and Personal Property tax compliance and payments.
  • Identify, communicate, and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with various special projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of indirect tax experience.
  • Understanding of tax principles, accounting, and business procedures.
  • Experience in audit resolution.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment while managing various responsibilities and priorities.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Data analysis skills and the ability to leverage technology, with proficiency in processes and data manipulation.
  • CPA or CMI eligibility is desired.
