Assembler - Standard Cabinet

1st shift position with a schedule of 6:30am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Additional overtime is optional in most situations.

Assembler - Standard Products
Summary/Objective
The Standard Products Assembler performs assembly operations to produce components or to assemble those components into an environmental test chamber.
Essential Functions

1. Install piping, coils, distributors, compressors and valve panels by soldering using various techniques (soft, silver, SIL-FOS), bending, and cutting.
2. Performs manufacturing equipment and tool set-ups and adjustments necessary to assemble product electrical systems per schematics.
3. Assembles electrical materials and parts to produce functional electrical systems per manufacturing schematic prints, parts lists, and in accordance with quality requirements of the department.
4. Inspect electrical systems produced for conformity to manufacturing schematic prints and departmental quality requirements.

Required Education and Experience

1. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
2. Math proficiency.
3. Experience using hand and power tools.
4. Knowledge of and previous work experience with electrical and refrigeration assembly.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Previous experience as an Electrical and refrigeration assembler in a similar industry.
2. Electrical training or certification.
3. High School Diploma or GED.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employee may occasionally need to work at heights of up to 20 feet.
