We are looking for a person to lead a team of analysts tasked to drive new thinking in how we measure, analyze and make tactical and strategic recommendations on business issues. We partner with our clients to understand their strategy, shape the questions/analysis, and deliver specific answers and key insights concerning their employee benefits.

If you are content with just reporting out data and numbers, this role is not for you. We are looking for talented people, with a strong technical aptitude, who enjoy getting their hands dirty by diving into the analysis and presenting the results back to our clients. Simultaneously, this person will be able to take a step back and think objectively about the overall business problem and the best ways to solve it. Part of this person’s responsibilities will be to lead and guide a team of analysts based in our Indianapolis office. This role plays an instrumental part in achieving our strategic goals and ensuring the success of our initiatives.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • An outcome-oriented, self-starting, analytical thinker, able to leverage creative thinking and innovation to deal with uncertain, often messy, data and ambiguous or complex business challenges
  • A proven leader that can mentor, manage, and develop a team of analysts
  • Familiar with modeling techniques and statistics used to recognize trends and patterns in the data, and have used this knowledge to draw meaningful conclusions and develop actionable analyses that drive business decisions
  • Extrapolates and interprets data, performs statistical analysis, forecasting, and trending while developing and leveraging actionable analyses to support key client initiatives
  • Enjoy working with internal and external customers on business problems, developing and maintaining ongoing relationships, and can proactively identify new opportunities through research and analysis
  • Ability to present analysis and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to C-Level executives
  • Drive enhancements to existing reporting such as automation, trending, and visualization.
  • Development and automation of professional-level reports and models using a variety visualization tools and techniques

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance or quantitative research/analysis methods
  • Minimum of 8 years of overall work experience, include a minimum of 5 years in analytics
  • Prior experience managing a team / direct reports
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data mining and analytic tools (e.g. Access, SQL, SAS, SPSS, R, etc.)
  • Familiar with modeling techniques and statistics (e.g. regression, cluster analysis, etc.)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of analytics and root cause analysis with ability to communicate drivers
  • Knowledge of advanced analytical modeling methods
  • Experience with relevant business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik) commonly used to organize and visualize large data sets
  • Exposure to Population Health programs is a plus
