A leading construction firm in the Heights area of Houston, TX is seeking an HR Administrative Assistant to join their team. Staring compensation $20-$23/hour depending on experience. At least 1 year of human resources experience is required for this role.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of human resources experience
- 1-3 years of internal customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of HR policies and workflow
- 1-3 years' experience with HRIS system
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for tracking post-accident drug tests in tracking log, as well as random drug tests and probation forms
- Responsible for paying drug test invoices and pre-employment invoices inside of accurate
- Assist employees as the initial point of contact for human resource related questions, concerns, or issues; redirects employees to the Senior HR Business Partner as needed.
- Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources forms or documents.
- Schedules interviews, orientations, or training sessions.
- Processes employee status changes inside of HR system: maintains records of completed transactions.
- Support in recruitment by creating and posting openings on job sites and coordinating interviews.
- Maintain employee files and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to I-9 completion and maintenance.
- Oversee the administration of the pre-employment process.
- Performs other job-related duties in additional areas of responsibility as assigned.
