ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify as a Section 3 worker, you must reside in the City Of San Francisco and meet one of the following requirements:
- I am a public housing resident.
- I am an HWS Section 8 voucher recipient.
- I am a Youth Build program participant.
- MUST RESIDE IN CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO
General Laborer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform various manual labor tasks, including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment and structures as needed.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow instructions and guidelines to complete assigned tasks within designated time frames.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, supplies, and equipment from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Assist skilled workers, such as carpenters, electricians, or plumbers, by providing support and carrying out basic tasks as directed.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Report any safety concerns, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a General Laborer or similar role is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly.
- Proficient in using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures and regulations.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Punctuality and reliability in meeting work schedules.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

The starting hourly base pay for this role is between USD $20-$40/hr. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
