Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in design and deployment of logical and physical structures preferably in the Banking Risk Area (Counterparty Credit Risk Data Domain knowledge)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Erwin data modeling tools
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with development and deployments on MSSQL platform
  • Experience with large, high volume databases is preferred
  • Experience performing data profiling
  • Experience in Data Mart, Dimensional Modeling, Data Warehouse modeling
  • Ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of both Relational and Domain Modeling techniques
  • Understanding of BI Reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business and data requirements into logical data models in support of Enterprise Data Models, OLTP, Operational Data Structures, and Analytical systems
  • Understand database performance factors and trends pertaining to very large database design and collaborate with DBAs to implement mitigating physical modeling solutions
  • Perform source data analysis, data discovery, and data profiling
  • Provide data structures optimized for information entry and retrieval
  • Effectively communicate data design to other members of the team to ensure proper implementation and utilization of the data structures
  • Support development team during design process and during performance tuning
  • Participate in both business & IT planning and in the development & management of project plans
  • Lead design of Logical and Physical Models
  • Support ongoing data modeling efforts for Development and Production environments
  • Contribute to the development of processes and guidelines for Data Modeling
